Training opportunity: Fostering youth leadership - Creating adult/youth alliances to reduce alcohol and other drug harm
The New Zealand Drug Foundation and New Zealand Aotearoa Adolescent Health and Development are excited to bring you these training opportunities to help sharpen your organisations skills and deepen your understanding in the areas of youth leadership in policy and advocacy.
The interactive two day training workshops will be delivered by internationally recognised youth development trainer Maureen Sedonaen. Maureen is Founder and President of the Youth Leadership Institute (YLI), a San Francisco-based organisation that helps build communities where young people and their adult allies come together to create positive social change, all while promoting best practices in the field of youth development. Youth Leadership Institute is an international leader in the youth sector for consultations, training and program development that truly empower young people.
The workshops will be tailored to New Zealand communities, aligning with the current drug and alcohol legislative reviews, key elements to feature in the trainings include:

This is a great training opportunity for alcohol and other drug NGOs, Public Health Units, youth health and development organisations, youth workers, peer support workers, CAYADs and others working to reduce alcohol and drug harm to young people and communities.
