Resources for schools - Primary Pathways

Wednesday, September 9, 2009

Our children grow up in a society in which the use of legal drugs, such as alcohol and tobacco, is commonplace. For children to be in the best position to make responsible, informed choices about drugs for themselves, they need to be provided with drug education that offers many opportunities to explore appropriate knowledge, attitudes, skills and strategies within a supportive environment. It is the role of schools, teachers, parents and the community to help children make responsible and informed choices about drug use.

Primary Pathways is a teaching resource developed for use in primary schools across New Zealand. It provides teachers with an up-todate, easy to use drug education resource, which takes into account current educational trends towards integrating curriculum in primary schools.

The content, structure and learning strategies used in the resource are based on the latest New Zealand and international research into effective drug education.

This resource is FREE for primary schools and educators. A maximum of 4 copies are avaliable per school. If you require more than four copies please contact us.
