2010 National Drug Trends Conference

The National Drug Trends Conference will present recent findings in illicit drug use, markets and related harms across Australia. Convened by Australia’s largest drug monitoring systems, the Illicit Drug Reporting System (IDRS) and the Ecstasy and Related Drugs Reporting System (EDRS), the one day conference will include the first release of the 2010 findings.

ATDC 2010: Reducing Harm across the Lifespan

Creating Synergy Drug and Alcohol Conference

Matua Raki staff plan and host — in collaboration with NCAT — three leadership days a year (in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch) in coordination with the the Ministry of Health. The leadership forums bring together addiction workforce leaders from different functions: policy, planning, funding, training and education, service management and delivery, consumers and cultural leaders. This day provides an opportunity to include leaders from allied fields to share information and to develop collaborative activity at strategic and service delivery levels.

The 8th Dangerous Consumptions Colloquium

The Dangerous Consumptions Colloquium is a forum for the presentation and discussion of research on the myriad forms of contemporary consumption. In past years presentations have explored alcohol, illicit drugs, gambling, sex, food, blood, tobacco, pharmaceuticals, celebrity magazines and pleasure from a social research perspective. Presentations on these or other forms of ‘dangerous consumption’ are welcome. The colloquium is run over two days with only a single stream of papers (there are no concurrent sessions).
