Odyssey House Co-Existing Disorders Programme conducts a unique modified “Therapeutic Community” for those presenting with a major mental illness in conjunction with alcohol/drug/gambling dependency.
This position is part time (20hours pw) night shift. Applicants need to possess a health, counselling or social services qualification to work compassionately and creatively with clients from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

Clinical Psychologist - Whitiki Maurea Maori Mental Health & Addictions
At Whitiki Maurea provides both specialist Mental Health (MOKO) and Alcohol & Drug (Te Atea Marino) services in order to improve health gains for Maori.
Providing assessment, treatment and consultancy to selected Tangata Whaiora and their Whanau, you will be experienced within mental health including neuropsychological and psychometric testing, and evidence based therapies.
Knowledge of Te Reo Maori or experience working with other indigenous cultures would be advantageous. A high standard of interpersonal skills and a proven ability to organise and prioritise your workload is essential.

Alcohol and Drug Clinician - Effective Interventions Project - CADS North
This position offers an exciting opportunity for those who like to work with people and make a difference. You will engage individuals and their families who contact our community based Alcohol and Drug services and assist them in working towards reducing and resolving alcohol and drug related problems.
The position will be based at CADS North, Takapuna. There is a designated focus on working with clients who are referred to CADS by the Community Probation and Psychological Services and to the CADS group programme at the Auckland Prison Services, as part of the Effective Interventions Project.
You will have relevant tertiary qualifications, excellent communication, assessment, treatment and referral skills, experience and expertise in working with clients and a clear problem solving approach. Group work experience highly regarded. Relevant experience and/or training in the alcohol and drug field preferred.

Link Worker
This position avaliable at Welesly Community Action provides sound support for young adults – 18 – 25 years- who have been identified through a process involving the courts, police and WCA as having drug and alcohol dependency issues that have resulted in their offending. The position will work alongside these young adults and their families/whanau/peers to develop a plan that addresses the drug and alcohol issues as well as identifying other alternative options as well as liaison with the courts and police regarding progress. This position will involve work that can be out of normal hours, and close liaison with police and courts.
